For what purpose do we process your personal data?

In compliance with European Regulation 2016/679 on General Data Protection (GDPR), we inform you that at the Notary Office, we process the data you provide us for the following purposes:

Managing your inquiry.
Sending information, electronically or otherwise, related to your inquiry and notarial services.
User service, resolving doubts, handling complaints, or receiving suggestions.

We remind you that data processing for the stated purposes is necessary to meet the legitimate interests pursued by the Notary Office.

Within the framework of the aforementioned purposes, and always subject to the consented purposes, the Notary Office will process the following categories of data:

Identification and contact details, such as name, surname, phone number, or email address.

4. Data retention period

How long will we keep your data?

Your data will be retained as long as necessary for the provision of services or, where applicable, as long as the relationship between the parties lasts. In any case, they will be kept while you do not request their deletion and for the necessary time to comply with the legal obligations applicable to each type of data.

5. Legal Basis

What is the legal basis for processing your data?

The processing of personal data related to maintaining your relationship with the Notary Office is legally justified as it is necessary to comply with contractual obligations arising from that relationship. Processing your personal data for these purposes is strictly necessary to meet the stated legal obligations.

6. Recipients

Who will receive your data?

As a general rule, data will not be disclosed to third parties unless legally required.

However, your data may be shared with the following recipients for the reasons explained below and only when necessary for purposes related to the relationship between the parties:

Public Administrations, for compliance with legal obligations.
Service Providers, who may need access to your data to provide services contracted by the Notary Office. These providers have signed confidentiality agreements and data processing contracts required by law to protect your privacy.

We assure you that no international data transfers are carried out by the Notary Office.

However, during data processing, we may use software with servers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), specifically in countries with adequate data protection levels or in the United States. In such cases, we ensure that we work with providers who comply with European data protection regulations, particularly the GDPR (EU Regulation 679/2016). 7. Your Rights

What are your rights when providing your data?

You have the right to:

Confirm whether we are processing personal data concerning you.
Access your personal data.
Request the correction of inaccurate data.
Request the deletion of your data when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.
In certain circumstances, request the restriction of data processing, in which case we will only retain them for legal claims.
Oppose the processing of your data for reasons related to your particular situation.
Exercise the right to data portability.
Withdraw previously given consent at any time without affecting the legality of processing based on prior consent.

Finally, we inform you that you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or other competent public bodies if you believe your data is being misused.
